“Innovation, AI and Fusion: GEATOP at the European table with F4E.”

Barcelona, May 2025 – Over 90 experts from across European industry and research gathered in Barcelona for the second technology workshop organized by Fusion for Energy (F4E)https://fusionforenergy.europa.eu/, dedicated to exploring the potential of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the field of nuclear fusion.

The event, part of F4E’s Technology Development Programme, addressed key topics related to the application of AI in a wide range of areas: fusion materials, plasma science, design, simulation, manufacturing, non-destructive testing, assembly, and operations. The workshop provided a valuable platform for discussion, fostering new ideas and reflections on how to best leverage AI to accelerate technological progress.

GEATOP’s contribution

GEATOP Metrology was proud to take part in the working group, bringing its expertise in high-precision metrology applied to large-scale scientific and industrial projects.
